Does the width affect the size?
It sure does. The wider a ring is, the larger it needs to be to fit. If you're measuring your size from a 3mm wide ring but ordering a 6mm wide ring, we'll need to make the 6mm ring a little larger.
For example, you’re measuring a 3mm ring which has an internal diameter of 16.5mm. This is US size 6 (UK L ½). But, you're ordering a 6mm ring. The 6mm ring will need to be US size 6 ½ (UK M ½) to fit.
This can be tricky!
OUR RULE OF THUMB
(Or finger). For every extra 3mm of width, add-on ½ a US (1 UK) size.
To convert international sizes to their US or UK equivalents, see our Ring Size Conversion Chart.

USING ONE OF OUR RING SIZERS
Each sizing ring is 3mm wide.
If you’re getting a 1.5-4mm wide ring, just use one.
For 5-7mm wide rings, put two together and choose the larger size.
For 8-10mm wide rings, put three together and choose the middle size.
